It's a fun concept that's presented with a great family-friendly style that uses cel shading for a cartoony effect (it's very similar in visual style to the more recent Untitled Goose Game). Probably the game it most resembles is Katamari Damacy, except where that game had you collecting random junk with a ball to make a bigger ball, this game has you swallowing up random junk using a hole to make the hole into a bigger hole. Donut County is an odd game that's hard to categorize, but probably the closest I can come to it is that it's a Puzzle game of sorts.
